Judy O'Dell

Judy is a mother to four children, and a proud grandmother to 8, and great grandmother to 4.

Judy's interest in yoga started about 15 years ago when she thought of teaching yoga to other adults- and with perseverance and strength of mind and body, graduated from Yoga Teacher Training in June of 2014 and advanced yoga training in 2015.

Judy is also certified to teach Pilates.

She retired from full time employment in 2018 and has been teaching Yoga to Adults 55+ since.

Devin Johnston

Our bodies are meant to move! Regular physical activity is great for the health of our muscles, bones, joints and also our brains but sometimes exercise feels like a chore. The objective of this group is to make movement playfully productive by pulling in bits and pieces from different movement disciplines like yoga, tai chi, calisthenics and more with a healthy dose of self awareness but never too much seriousness!

About Devin: A massage therapist and movement educator with more than twenty years of experience in yoga, martial arts, natural movement fitness and many other weird and wonderful practices. He loves to work with beginners and seniors.

Margaret Taylor

Marg Taylor has been employed in the fitness and recreation sector for over 40 years and is certified in a variety of disciplines including Fitness Instructor Specialist, Osteoporosis Society BoneFit, Seniors’ Fitness, and her latest passion, TaijiFit. TaijiFit incorporates the traditional movements of Tai Chi in a relaxed, accessible and easy to follow program and is excellent for developing and maintaining balance, stability, mobility and relaxation.

Miriam Goldberger

What Dance Can Do's founding teacher and executive director Miriam Goldberger, has a B.A. in Dance from Goucher College and has studied Dance Therapy at Lesley University in Boston and the Haliburton School of the Arts; Miriam founded Preggae Woman, Canada's first pre-natal/postpartum movement and support program in Toronto, is an advanced Dance for Parkinson's instructor and a certified Zumba and Zumba Gold instructor.

Julia DeSotto

Julia has been in the fitness business for 38 years. She received her fitness certification through the Ontario Fitness Council and NFAC (National Fitness Alliance Council). She was working as a group fitness leader for the Seniors division at the Toronto District School Board for 25 years and actively teaching various Seniors classes with chairs, stretch bands and weights.

Julia has certification in Pilates, chair Pilates, Aqua fitness and Zumba.

Her emphasis in class is on strength, balance and coordination a class that is fun and easy and guaranteed to make you feel wonderful!

Jill Alkerfeldt

Jill is a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor in Whitby, ON. She’s been teaching fitness for 13 years, specializing with seniors for over 6 years now. She’s a mother to 4 kids, however 2 have left home and she’s left with her teen daughter and her 11- year old son.(And her husband and sweet, little dog, Penny. ) When she’s not teaching fitness classes, she likes to encourage her family to keep active with walks and bike rides.

Veronika Brath is an Orillia-based artist and educator who studied at both Waterloo and OCAD. She loves to spark creativity in others and show them how to play with art.
